  • Arcane
  • Fire
  • Frost

How to Level Up as a Mage in WOW Classic:

Now then, after talking about the basics of mages and their talent trees, let’s see how can you level up from 1 to 60.

While working your way to level 60 as a mage in WOW Classic, you should also level your professions. You also need to consider which gear or stats to pursue and how to complete your class quests.

Regarding the professions, it’s best to learn first aid as soon as possible for easy self-healing. “Skinning”, “Herbalism” and “Mining” are amazing primary professions for a leveling mage. These professions allow you to earn extra gold and obtain materials that you can use to level crafting professions later. If you need further explanation on the professions visit this guide.

There’s no doubt that mages are gear independent while leveling. However, you should still collect items with as much intellect as possible. This makes your Mana pool last longer before you have to drink or wait for regeneration.

“Spirit” is a useful stat for leveling. It increases your health and Mana regeneration rate. It comes quite handy while traveling. “Stamina” helps you live longer and it can be useful in PVP situations.

But mostly, you should try to kill enemies from a distance to minimize the damage. “Spell damage” will be of great help at maximum level, but it has no effect on wand damage, so don’t go out of your way to get it in on your gear.
